After the Confederate's lose in the Battle of Gettysburg General Lee finds himself regretting making such a plan knowing that Pickett's Charge most certainly lost the Confederates the battle. Ever since the loss the Confederates would never go on the Northern land again and found themselves fighting defensive battles the whole rest of the war. On April 9th, 1865 General Lee and the Confederates surrendered the war.
